A tale of subterfuge and artificially managed decline.
LFC Land Acquisition War (LFC LAW circa 1970's - 2013) The Trojan Homes is a tale from the LFC Land Acquisition War (LFC L.A.W circa 1970's - 2013) - about the subterfuge that the “PARTNERS” use to CLAIM the road of Lothair as their own. MANY Trojan Homes have been created by the "PARTNERS" in an artificial process of managed decline to facilitate "PLAN B" - future LFC STADIUM redevelopment.
LFC, have succeeded in surreptitiously acquiring MANY properties to use as TROJAN HOMES in what can only be described as an artificial or deceptive ploy to manipulate the surrounding environment and public opinion. In the 70s and 80s Liverpool football club started buying up property in the immediate vicinity to Anfield and boarding them up - they were ruthless in their approach. It was claimed they would just wait for the people to die and then make an offer over the odds that could not be refused. We are talking about seven grand at the time, the same house would sell for between ten and twenty times that price. While Liverpool’s financial fortunes crested to sums that are beyond the imagination of many of the working class people in the city, the football club watched with no community spirit. Fending off claims with their lawyers from aggrieved citizens who felt helpless, even though the support for Liverpool Football Club was and is in the hearts of these people. Liverpool football club, Liverpool city council and Arena housing have worked together to the detriment of the area and the local residents. TROJAN HOMES have been used in tandem by all three organizations to create a long term process of managed decline with one aim - to facilitate LFC's Plan B - STADIUM redevelopment. LFC has had "plan B" locked away in a safe-place ever since the events of 1999, when the Council and LFC held secret (Anfield Plus) meetings to discuss "plans" to demolish eerily similar areas to the areas in the city council's recently proposed plans. During one meeting - Rick Parry was taped divulging "the secret plans" and an inquiry was called for by Anfield Ward Councillor Joe Kenny, which lead to NINE council officers being excluded from the Anfield Regeneration Steering Group. Contrary to previous statements by Councillor Ann O'Byrne, Liverpool City Council and Liverpool Football Club have always had some form of back - up plans to redevelop the main stand and Anfield Road ends of its stadium - demolishing nearby homes.
Liverpool football club, Liverpool city council and Arena housing have ignored us and our numerous requests for the area to be refurbished - we were never earmarked for demolition, and we were not included in the 7 phases of the failed HMRI scheme in the Anfield area. The city council have not represented the interests of the residents of Lothair Road - who live among deceit, but the interests of a "multi million pound private business" that has sucked the life out of our particular area of Anfield. Liverpool City Council own a small number of TROJAN HOMES in Lothair Road, but beyond that, they hold immense power that should be used to force both LFC and Arena Housing to think about the long term future of their TROJAN HOMES and to bring them back into use. BEST OF ALL - this solution will not cost the city council or the taxpayer a single penny. We can not comprehend LCC's reluctance to make LFC and Arena housing accountable for the many years of artificial or deceptive managed decline - instead they see fit to reward them for their obvious failures. That's typical of "the city council's" long term attitude towards the downtrodden residents of Lothair road. |
