The Triangle Website members volunteer their time and knowledge of key issues that have blighted this area of Anfield for many years! "And the angels who did not stay within their own position of authority, but left their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains under gloomy darkness until the judgement of the great day." 22 September 2013

Andy Hunter The Guardian,
Tuesday 12 July 2011 Joe Anderson told the Liverpool Echo: "You can't build something right next to someone's house that blocks daylight – whether Liverpool FC like it or not. That is something that exists. It existed 10 years ago when they were talking about it then, and it exists today. "They are not our rules, they are national legal requirements. We will do everything we can to assist Liverpool FC and help them. The original problems, before they decided to move to Stanley Park, are the same now because people have the right to light, and there are all kinds of issues like that. We have said that they have to make the decision. If they want to negotiate with people around the stadium and come to a deal with them that allows them to build higher to increase capacity [that is fine]. From our point of view, when Ian Ayre talks about the statutory requirements, local people have the right to light."
He also revealed it could take three years for Liverpool to overcome the problems facing Anfield and that the club would be liable to repay £8.2m of European funding already spent on renovating Stanley Park should it renege on that option.*** Mr Rotheram,
Steve Rotheram MP, whose consistency includes Anfield, wants a meeting with Liverpool's owners within the next fortnight to address mounting concerns among local residents. The Labour MP said: "The uncertainty for the residents is really starting to cause tensions. This is a massive opportunity to regenerate the whole of the north of Liverpool not just Anfield. "Residents have put up with a lot of issues over the past few years. My preference is that the local residents there get something they have been looking for – the opportunity for something to happen in that area. The broken promises of the previous owners [Tom Hicks and George Gillett] have come back to haunt the current owners." *** Read More: City council denies all blame www.guardian.co.uk Mr Rotheram, that was more than two years ago, can I ask,
Mr Rotheram, I make it at least fourteen years and if you include Skerries Road, you can add another twelve years to that "past few years" of yours, twenty six years Mr Rotheram, and that's not including Kemlyn Road! It's a disgrace and rather than being rewarded for their despicable policy, LFC should be prosecuted for premeditated long term corporate neglect and abuse of our environment. Mr E Roberts Letter, 25th July 1999 The football ground is bordered on one side by Skerries Road. Eight houses in Skerries road are property owned by LFC. They have been empty for twelve years and have been frequently burgled and vandalized during this period. I wrote a letter to Sue McCready, Area Team Manager of the Anfield Regeneration Survey Area, giving her this information in writing. She phoned me after receiving my letter stating that she had no knowledge of LFC's plans for this area. However, I remained unconvinced as the map produced by the Regeneration Group is a blueprint for LFC and not for the residents around the ground. *** Mr Rotheram, the broken promises of H&G did not cause the managed decline of our community, nor did they land bank the houses that LFC have left to rot since the early to mid nineties. David Conn The Guardian, 6 May 2013 The club have never publicly explained in detail what they did, and declined to answer the Guardian's questions about their historic behaviour and current plans. Neighbours, many of whom have lived in Anfield for decades, remembering a vibrant, flourishing area, believe Liverpool bought and left houses empty to deliberately blight the area. *** Jane Woodhead and Mark Thomas Liverpool Echo, May 2002 Today the council's ruling executive board was told that consultants GVA Grimley have concluded Stanley Park is the best option both for the club and the Anfield Breckfield area. The GVA Grimley report says: "The decline of the Anfield Breckfield area has been rapid and continues at a significant rate. "The spiral of decline is vicious and unless arrested will result in the death of Anfield Breckfield as a community" *** Mr Rotheram, If Liverpool City Council believe they have the lawful authority to threaten residents using government legislation, then they should disclose said legislation. If the City Council actually showed us an official document signed by a government minister which grants them the lawful right to take our homes, we would be able to request an inquiry ourselves and therefore we would not require your valuable assistance and political influence. I am willing to meet with you to discuss the City Council's recent discriminatory consultation process and the manipulation of our environment and quality of life by Liverpool Football Club and it's partners. Would you like to be enlightened or would you rather believe that Liverpool City Council, Liverpool Football Club and Your Housing have done no wrong? The next time you're in our area of Anfield please give me a knock and we can discuss your neutral policy towards residents concerns in an adult and respectfully courteous manner. xx Lothair Road, Anfield, l4 0rl. Mr Rotheram, I'm sure that you don't fully understand how far we have come nor how strong our counter-claims are. I'm asking you as our elected MP to come to our area of Anfield, speak to the people who have been denied a voice, the people whose homes are under LFC threat, and then maybe we would be able to change our opinion of you and maybe you could change your opinion of us. I know you are a nice guy, you've done some sterling work on behalf of the Hillsborough victims and their families, and you did actually speak up for residents in July 2011, that's why I contacted you in the first instance. Mr Rotheram, the PARTNERS have taken our pride, our dignity and unlawfully denied us of our lawful rights, I guess they made their own bed and now deserve every bit of criticism that comes their way. I look forward to your personal response and beg of you to act professionally and in accordance with your oath of office, I'm not slinging mud at you and I do not appreciate mud being slung at me, fore I am also a victim of these social crimes, not the perpetrator of those crimes. Mr Rotheram, I am mentally and physically exhausted, the social neglect of our environment and fighting a fight that we simply could not win has taken a heavy toll on myself and many others. I would just like some help and an opportunity to present the facts that we have gathered. Please take a look at the triangle website, you maybe surprised by what you see. Thank you for your time and your professional and courteous consideration. Best Wishes darron |
