THE GREAT ANFIELD PROPERTY GAME

What a man John W Henry is, it's only took him 18 months - not years like the rest who were before him, to realise the enormous problems facing Liverpool Football Club and its stadium dilemma.

There are people, businesses and a community still here "Echo 16th June 2012"- someone should inform Arena Housing and Liverpool City Council.!!

Liverpool City Council has nearly achieved its golden goal in the great Anfield/Rockfield HOUSE AND LAND ROBBERY. Not content with years of suffering for people and businesses with this deliberate blight, they are now harassing elderly home owners to sell their property at rock bottom prices, and telling them to "get rid of beloved pets as they will not be allowed in care homes/sheltered accommodation."

If it looks like they are not going to agree to sell to the council, they will use compulsory purchase orders to get their homes. The people and businesses are not unreasonable people who holding Liverpool Football Club to ransom in the hope of a big pay day, these are their homes and businesses.

They are not standing in the way of process in the Anfield/Rockfield Triangle area, because there has been no process in the Anfield/Rockfield Triangle area for 15 YEARS.

Steve Rotheram, Ian Francis, Brian Dowling, Adele Dowling, Anne O'Brien and city council assistant director Mark Kits, you lot should be ashamed of yourselves. You should be representing the people and small businesses of Anfield and not just the interests of a multi million pound global brand business like Liverpool Football-Club. Arena Housing, Liverpool City Council and Liverpool Football Club have never put anything into this area or community; they have just sucked the life out of it to suit Liverpool Football Club.

LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB ARE THE NEIGHBOURS FROM HELL..!!!

If Liverpool Football Club and Liverpool City Council did not learn anything from the sisters in Kremlyn Road - Joan and Nora Mason, they will never learn. You just can't force people out of their homes and businesses to suit a global brand - IT’S NOT RIGHT..!!

There must be an independent inquiry now to full disclose why the Anfield/Rockfield Triangle has been deliberately run down by Liverpool City Council, Arena Housing And Liverpool Football Club.

HASN'T THIS CITY SUFFERED ENOUGH WITH LIES AND MANIPULATION..? You will not get sufficient money to set up a new home or business due to the run down state of this area, but the global brand and council will make a fortune when they re-develop your land.

Liverpool City Council own properties in the Anfield/Rockfield area, but beyond that, they hold immense power when it comes to procedures for dealing with long term empty properties. These procedures enable the council to force owners to think about the long term future of their EMPTY properties and to bring them back into use - yet not one (as far as we here at The Triangle website are aware) of these many blighted properties which are an eyesore and have had a negative effect on the neighbourhood, has had such measures implemented upon it. Why have measures such as EDMO's or VDPI's not been implemented by the City Council?

If LFC decide to redevelop Anfield they'll need land and over the last decade or so they've been buying as much as possible . They have added to the derelict - abandoned look of the area by keeping scores of their properties unoccupied, boarded up and ill maintained. This dates back to David Moores' time at the club, it was adopted by H&G and still exists under FSG. Someone at LFC took the decision to do this and they continue to do it to this day. LFC and FSG know how to play the "media" game - with sound bites and PR men neatly avoiding the fact that for many years they have been land-banking properties in the area therefore adding to the blighted problem.

Arena Housing who are Registered Social Landlords (RSL) with a Corporate Social Responsibility, own possibly the largest number of empty properties in the Rockfield Triangle. Why is a government funded housing association with a corporate social responsibility charter - allowed to actually negate that responsibility by boarding up and neglecting their properties over a very long period of time? Arena have said that they won't spend money on fixing their properties because LFC might want to demolish them! Has that been Arena's policy for the past 10 - 15 years? How can Liverpool football club's indecision dictate a government funded housing association's policy?

1. LFC need land and over the last decade or so they've been buying as much as possible. The road became the target of vandals and arsonists, with 16 (not 14) separate fires in the properties over six years, causing misery to the few residents who remained. LFC land - banking dates back to David Moores' time at the club, it was adopted by H&G and until recently still existed under FSG. Someone at LFC took the decision to do this and until recently they continued to do it.
