Anfield Property Game Whether intentional or not, destroying the land value of the city which gives Liverpool football club its name and forcing the people who reside there out of their homes is an absolute disgrace. Their first priority should obviously be to enrich the lives of those who live in Liverpool as the club's very existence is zero without them. On Lothair Road, which backs on to the Anfield Main Stand, a resident who lives next door to a house Liverpool football club own and have left empty, shuttered – "tinned up" as the locals call it – shook his head. "I'm not moving out," he told the Guardian, "I've been driven out." A failure to be honest with local residents has left the Anfield area with all sorts of problems and LFC need to sort this out quickly. The way the club has handled this does leave many residents and fans feeling very uneasy. Sadly this is ANFIELD 2013 where the club is the plaything of rich men. So whether you treat managers and players as expendable and the local community as obstacles should not come as a surprise.
